Karl Sorge - MBA, BA, CIP

Karl started his insurance career in 1986. His background is in banking, real estate development, construction and claims management. He has experience handling property and casualty claims for both personal lines and commercial risks. His experience also includes; marine claims, strata losses, liability, complex litigation, rehabilitation and brain injury losses.






J.W (Jim) Denton - CIP

Jim started his insurance career in Vancouver in 1981. He has worked in the Okanagan region since 1996. Jim handles property and liability claims for numerous insurers. His experience includes auto, property, general liability, strata claims, ski resort and school protection programs, municipal and marine claims.





Robert J. Morton - CIP

Robert has worked in the insurance industry since 1985. He has worked as a staff adjuster and with several independent adjusting firms. Robert has extensive experience in liability investigation, municipal claims, large motor vehicle losses and complex injury claims.



Mike Churko

Mike began with the insurance industry since 1977,  primarily in commercial property, personal lines, motor vehicle and complex liability losses as well as examining for a number of carriers and continues examining with Certain Underwriters of Lloyds of London. Mike is a mediator and member of The Mediator Roster Society of British Columbia, Civil Law Roster and Child Protection Roster contracted with the Ministry of Justice for the Province of British Columbia.  In addition Mike is a Member of the ADRBC (Alternate Dispute Resolution of BC) where  he has been called as an Arbitrator to  dealt disputes involving Arbitrations under section 23 (1) of the Insurance Act of British Columbia as well as other disputes.  He resides in Penticton and manages the Penticton branch.



Michael J. Turner - BA, CIP

Michael is a senior multi-line adjuster who started his career in 1987 after graduating from the Insurance Administration program at Mohawk College. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Western Ontario and his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation in 1992. Michael moved to Kelowna in 1991 to manage the branch of a large national adjusting firm and eventually became the Regional Manager. He specializes in marine, liability and larger residential and commercial property claims. 

Thomas Turner

Thomas is a third generation insurance adjuster.  He has a diploma in Criminology and past experience working in the insurance restoration industry.  This experience and training is a great asset in his handling of property and liability claims. Thomas also brings a unique skill set to the handling of contents claims using an iPhone software program to document, organize and quickly produce a schedule of loss. 


Kyle Abbott - BBA

Kyle Abbott is born and raised in Kelowna, BC.  He has been with Forsons since 2015.  Prior to insurance he worked in the banking industry.  Kyle graduated with a degree in Business Administration.  Kyle's focus is liability and property claims, with an emphasis on litigation background investigations.

Rob Jonker - BSc, BEd, MA

Rob Jonker joined the Forsons team in 2014. his past experience includes teaching and construction. He brings an extensive knowledge of building materials and systems to the property and liability files he manages. He has degrees in Chemistry, Education and a Masters degree in Leadership and Administration. 

Doug Brookes

Doug is a retired police officer who brings many years of law enforcement and banking experience to Forsons Adjusting.  He enjoys handling complex background and liability investigations.
